Can you Fight Acne by Fighting Stress?

Many people report that their skin problems are aggravated by stress or fatigue.  This seems especially true of acne.  Many students report that their acne flares during times of school stress or tests, and improves during vacations or in the summer.

A recent article reported in Acta Derm Venerol, 2007 reports in the study by Yosipovitch, Dawn et al from Singapore,  that increased stress was correlated with more severe papulo-pustular acne. This was especially true in men. Interestingly, the increased stress did not result in more sebum (oil) production, just an increase in pimples.

Just another confirmation that minimizing stress is good for your acne, as well as your overall health!
